I have not been able to get this page updated as often as I had hoped but Here goes.......
This summer so far, beside hot, has had very good sales. The items people are asking me for are definetly on the country, primitiveuseful side.
Today I would like to share an old remedy or recipe for cleaning and restoring an old piece of furniture. A friend and local antique shop owner(EMP ANTIQUES) shared this with me. He got this from an antique dealer who has been using it for years and years.
You mix equal parts, 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 of Carnoba wax, cheap vegetable oil and turpintine. First melt wax, take off heat and add oil and turpentine. Stir together and let set until it solidifies. Rub this into the wood and it will clean, and protect with a nice finish all in one step. Let me know how this works for you. rjenner@frontiernet.net.
